Rooted in Beauty: Our Visit to the 2026 Philadelphia Flower Show

Earlier this week, Chloe and I had the pleasure of attending the 2026 Philadelphia Flower Show, presented by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. Held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, the show ran from March 1–9 and marked an especially meaningful year.

This year’s theme, “Rooted: Origins of American Gardening,” celebrates the cultural traditions, family legacies, and historical practices that have shaped American horticulture. The 2026 show is also the 197th edition of this iconic event and serves as a major kickoff to Philadelphia’s celebration of America’s upcoming 250th anniversary.

More Than Just Plants at the 2026 Philadelphia Flower Show

Many people assume flower shows are simply places to purchase plants or gardening supplies. While that certainly exists, the Philadelphia Flower Show is much more than that. The creativity and artistry on display from landscape architects, designers, and horticulturalists is extraordinary.

In many ways, the level of design rivals the world’s most celebrated garden events, including the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in London, often considered the most prestigious garden show in the world. After experiencing Philadelphia’s show this year, Chloe and I are already talking about attending Chelsea next May for our next garden-inspired adventure.

Our Favorite Displays at the 2026 Philadelphia Flower Show

From the moment we walked through the entrance, the show felt immersive and magical. One of the first exhibits that caught our attention was the “Once Upon a Time…” display, which felt like stepping into a storybook garden.

Another memorable installation featured a large sculptural nest, symbolizing the interwoven connections between nature, families, and generations. The craftsmanship and symbolism were stunning.

We also loved the wedding table floral displays, which were elegant and inspiring for anyone planning a celebration or simply looking to bring beauty into everyday spaces.

Perhaps one of the most creative displays was a portrait of William Shakespeare created entirely from flowers—a reminder that horticulture can be as much art as it is gardening.

But our absolute favorite exhibit was a display featuring hands gently holding flowers. To us, it represented gratitude, generosity, and the act of giving—something that resonates deeply in both life and our work.

Flowers, Homes, and First Impressions

As real estate agents, we couldn’t help but think about how landscaping and flowers play a role in the homes we help our clients buy and sell.

Beautiful landscaping creates curb appeal, often forming the very first emotional connection a buyer has with a home. A welcoming front garden, blooming planters, or well-designed outdoor spaces can instantly elevate how a property feels.

Inside the home, even something as simple as fresh-cut flowers on the kitchen counter or dining table can bring life, warmth, and energy into a space.

A Small Tradition of Gratitude

One of the sweetest moments of our visit was selecting flower seeds to bring home with us. Chloe and I plan to plant and grow these flowers as a small way to say thank you to our clients—the families who trust us to help them find the next chapter of their lives.

Helping someone find a home where their family can grow is a privilege we never take for granted.

So if you receive flowers from us this year, you’ll know exactly where the inspiration came from.

Thank you for your continued support.
